Peter Hernandez was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has Jewish and Puerto Rican heritage. [1]
When he was a child, he would accompany his father to gigs. That where his first musical influence started, hide under tables, watching the Latin orchestra his father played in. Hernandez's deep interest for doo-wop formed and grew in New York. He labeled himself as 'Dr. Doo-Wop' since age 13. Inspired by Elvis Presley's love for Hawaii, his 25 years old self decided to move there. [2]
